Funny Things

So lately I haven't taken a lot of pictures, but I keep catching the kids saying the funniest stuff. The other day we were heading home and zek says "Mom, when I go to college can I take the Wii?" My first thought was where did this come from and then I just said college is a while away. In the middle of my thinking he says "Mom, Mom, I promise I will take care of it I am really good at playing it, so can I take it with me?" I just started laughing. What 6 year old do you know that is worried where the wii will be when he goes to college. The next story is even better. A couple of weeks ago my mom bought Zek a treat (let me tell you it was a king size symphony and the stipulation was that he only eat half and save the other half for another day) so as he and my mom get in the car (this was after school, so I wasn't there) and Zek proceeds to eat the candy bar, my mom gets a phone call and when she is done she asks Zek where the other half is and he just says, "I ate it." My mom then explains to him that he shouldn't have done that and that there would be no snack before dinner, he didn't care and didn't even feel bad about eating the whole thing-I don't know if he didn't listen or if he just ignored her but the funny part is yesterday on the way home my mom had to stop at the grocery store and Zek got a candybar and told my mom he'd broken it in half. Now my mom thought he was going to save half, because of what had happened last time. So when grandma asked for a bite he said "its gone." She said, "what do you mean its gone I thought you broke it in half." He said, "I did, and I ate it." He thought that by breaking it in half and just eating half at a time he was making a good choice, because he didn't eat it all at once. LOL! the jokes on grandma.

All stories aside, we are doing well. School has kept me really busy, for some reason after 8 years of no school, it seems very difficult to get back in the swing of things. I am taking English, which I thought would be papers-nope its all grammar. YUCK! I also have health and wellness and then American Governement which seems like a waste of my time, I'm sure its not and their is something great about the class, but I have yet to figure that out. If anyone knows please let me know.

The kids just keep growing. Mya has had a fever the last couple of days, but other than that feels fine. Zek moved up 5 reading levels and went from "The sea otter lives in the ocean." to "Volcanos produce lava when they erupt." I wish I could scan in and show you the difference in the homework, its tremendous. He actually has to try now :) Chaysee just keeps getting bigger. It seems like she only gets to wear an outfit twice and the third time I go to put it on its like she grew out of it. She loves eating regular food (if you call ceral and baby food regular) and will only drink about 3-4 4oz bottles a day. Now if we could just get her to sit???

slacker

so lately I've been slacking with the whole blog thing, I am sorry. Life just got really busy all of the sudden. Anyways here is a delayed picture of Myas Taylor Swift Guitar Birthday Cake. I don't know how you go from wanting a little mermaid cake to a taylor swift guitar but whatever. I think Mya is probably Taylors youngest fan the knows and sings the words to: Our Song, Picture to Burn, Lovestory, You belong with me, Teardrops on my guitar, Change and any song that she can listen to about 10 times and she knows every word, who would have thought. I have also learned that if I say something looks like Taylor Swifts then Mya will wear it. Zek has been so busy with school-its wearing him out. By Wednesday he is ready for the weekend. He is really excited to watch Trevor play football tomarrow night and just finished watching Tonya play volleyball tonight. PS we made it a whole day without the baby spitting up. We still go through clothes, since she has moved on to drooling all over. Chaysee now has the pleasure of enjoying squash, ceral, green beans and bananas. I start online classes on Monday and Scott has been working nights doing inventory (9pm to 6am YUCK!) we are glad that is now over.
**PSS anyone looking for a happy mood drink I have found out what it is. Ask me about SPARK! Advocare houses the best products and I know I wouldn't be keeping the schedule I am without them. If your interested come visit me on OCT 3 from 6 to 8 and SPARK up your life.

cereal for chaysee and birthday outfit for mya

Chaysee tried ceral for the first time this week and has started to really enjoy it. These pictures are from the first day we tried it and then we tried water she was not so sure about it. She is now getting used to it and has since tried mashed potatos, catelope and oreos. Its fun to see her excited about real food.
Mya got a new outfit a day early (today after church we had a bbq and it was windy windy) so I figured she could wear her new clothes. She is very excited to turn 3, becuase now she is bigger or so she thinks. We will update after presents and cake tomarrow.

First Day of First Grade

Its official! Zek is now in the first grade. He was really nervous this morning, but once we got there he was excited. His room is upstairs this year and he thought that was neat. Zek also picked out his own clothes today-he actually picked out this shirt all by himself at FredMeyer. I guess its time I start letting him show his own personality (since its really starting to develop this year).
I still can't believe that I have a first grader! Today will be interesting with just me and the girls. I think Mya will be glad and sad. For sure by the afternoon she will be missing Zek. Although they argue all the time, she loves him so much.
To explain the picture of Mya, she tried to wash her own hair the other day and she put a huge glob of conditioner right in the front, which is what she is pointing to. It took a long time to rinse it all out and I don't know if we got it all. Needless to say she is not allowed to touch the shampoo, conditioner or bodywash again. :)

Camping in Leavenworth

We went camping on Friday. It was fun to be around family and enjoy some quality time together. The kids had a really great time. On Friday we arrived at about 3:30pm and set up camp. Mya kept asking when we were camping (she wasn't understanding that we already were). We had lots of yummy food while we camped and the kids even floated in icicle creek (two times, second time Zek fell in and he was done). I was a little nervous for them to do this since last weekend those that floated were surprised after coming around the bend by two BEARS. Lucky for us we didn't see any, only chipmunks and fish. After the kids floated the played in the raft and had a lot more fun than floating in the cold water. As you can see from the picture Chaysee even enjoyed a 4-wheeler ride thanks to Grandpa Joe.

Zek starts school on Thursday and is excited. We finished up school shopping on Saturday. He is now offically ready to start 1st grade.

Mya keeps telling me she wants everything for her birday (birthday), which is in 2 weeks. We will keep you posted.

Chaysee is getting so big, she likes to watch Zek and Mya and the tv (i know thats not very good of me to let her, but she really enjoys it).

very, very sneaky

my brother, my friend! (yeah right only once in a great while does this happen and it only lasts about 10 min.)

so my mom gave mya some lipstick to play with under my supervision. Well evidently I don't know how to hide things very well because Mya found the lipstick on her own and used it on her own (as if you couldn't tell).
mya is really liking taylor swift lately she now knows all the words to almost all the songs and she'll even ask to watch her videos on youtube. One day i plan to record her and put it on here for all to see how big of a fan she really is.
zek has had a lot of fun this week. he was able to go swimming with friends and be lucky enough to have friends over to play. he loves board games and really wants to buy the game sequence (a game that grandma naylor has). he loves to have a scheduled day - it works out much better for everyone involved.
chaysee just keeps getting bigger its hard to believe she is already 4 mos. everyone thinks she is older than that and they just look at me like really she is only 4 mos. oh well its always good to have a healthy baby. Until next time.
