This last week and Dr. Mom

Aunt Tonya
Aunt Tracy

Getting ready for bed

Last friday Mya helped me make cookies for a jewelery party and when I wasn't looking, look what Mya found and boy did she give me the biggest smile when she got caught. Chaysee loves the bath, I think it is her favorite place. As soon as we go into the bathroom and pull out the baby wash and wash cloth, she gets so excited, her legs start kicking and she just reaches for the bath water. Who knew kids would love the water so much? Tonight I had to be a doctor, when you become a mom they never tell that one day you might have to fix a broken toy even if its a broken leg on a favorite stuffed animal. See Mya got a little "Boots the monkey" from Travis when he went to Iowa that she has slept with every night since and Chaysee now loves it, so for Christmas Mya got a big "boots the monkey" When his leg broke a couple of weeks ago Mya wouldn't sleep with him because he was "broken" I told her I'd fix him later and then I put him away. She found him tonight and was so excited until at last she realized I hadn't yet fixed him, when she said he is still broken (I thought of wheezey and woody from Toy story 2), so I immediately got the needle and thread, its not a great job but it will do. Yay for Boots the Monkey!

Summer already?

They were watching Toy Story 2 which would explain the cowbow hats

Seattle from the ferry!

Ferry ride from Bremerton

Well the kids each got a swimsuit for the summer (I know early, but they were on sale). When Mya found hers in her drawer she wanted to try it on. So reluctantly I put it on her. She ran away from me and wouldn't take it off. She then asked for sunscreen, I told her it was raining and we weren't going outside, she said but we need to get ready for summer. If only summer were really that close. We got to go and visit Bryan and Kati last weekend in Bremerton and had a great time. For the most part the kids got along well. Zek and Mya loved the ferrry ride and want to go again soon. Thanks for being greats entertainers Bryan and Kati! Chaysee now has 4 teeth and is working on 5 and 6, so we have had a grumpy girl on our hands as well as a biter! I hate the biting stage. Zek got his first soap in the mouth last week for saying bad words, after being told not to and then shown what would happen if he said it again, not more than 30 min. later he was in the bathroom getting soap-we hope he learned his lesson. Mya is still adjusting to sunbeams (although she never went to nursery) She loves it once she is there, its just all the crying during sacrament and asking if we can leave, but once there she is ok. Chaysee is growing I can't believe she will be 10 mos next week. She is 23 lbs and 23 1/2 in long, we can't keep her in clothes. She loves the bath and now that her neck is better (thanks to Dr. Ribellia, Chiropracter) she really likes to look at stuff and is starting to enjoy being on her stomach. She still isn't crawling, but she is getting close. She loves Jam sandwiches and oatmeal. If anyone is interested Childrens Place and Target are having HUGE sales. We love everyone and hope February finds you full of LOVE! My kids are very excited for Valentines we have been making some every week. LOL who would have thought that making valentines would be so fun. :)

Busy Busy New Year

The girls each got a Christmas outfit from the Childrens place. Aren't they so cute :)

Sorry for not staying caught up on my blog. I have been trying to get in the groove of the new year, new quarter and as always sick kids. Everyone has had "the cough" the one you get every year that seems to last forever and ever. Last Sunday the girls got to wear the dresses I purchased for Easter. You ask why? Well Chaysee has grown faster than I anticpated last May. She is already wearing 12 months and I am sure by April she won't be. So I decided to buy a long sleeve shrug for each girl and let them wear there dress. I asked Mya if she wanted to save hers for Easter and she said that wasn't fair. If Chaysee gets to wear hers then Mya gets to wear hers. Anyways. Quick update on Chaysee: Her neck started tipping about 4 weeks ago and we don't know why. We took her to the doctor and had some x-rays, everything was fine with her muscles, so they sent us to an eye specialist in Spokane. All was good with her eyes but she had to wear an eye patch for a while to see if it helped. I didn't notice a difference so I decided to forgo the crying and eye patch. She has her 9 month check up next week so I will keep you informed. As far as classes go this quarter, I have a ton more work. I am taking Criminal Justice, Math 95 (wow do I feel dumb! LOL) and Intro to philosophy (only because that is all there was left, so not interested).
The kids are doing well and we are excited for a new year full of fun things and new adventures. We are planning to visit Bryan and Kati over the 22-24 in Bremerton and the kids are excited to go on the ferry. Thats all from us for now.

Christmas

Even Great Grandma played the wii, she wasnt' even sore the next day :)

Our small nativity children (Zek as Joseph, Kesiah as Mary and Mya as an angel with baby Keeley as baby Jesus)

The kids absolutely loved Christmas this year. They were so excited. We had our Christmas party on Sunday the 20th at Debs and then Christmas eve we played games and the kids got to open their pjs from Grandma Naylor (aren't they so cute?) Chaysee woke up first because she has been sick with croop. She was up around 5am and then Zek woke up at 6am. He woke everyone else up and the opening began. Zek got the guitar he wanted and Mya got a Disney Princess castle. Chaysee got some clothes and toys. Santa did a great job at our house and must have been really busy filling 14 stockings. Yes this is what Christmas looks like for 14 people. We were glad to have Travis and Angie here with us and Tracy and Christian. On Christmas morning we went to Great Grandmas for breakfast (waffles, eggs, bacon, ham, strawberries and whip cream, we even had orange julius). Although we didn't get much time with Travis, the kids had a great time building train tracks and knex. We got some great movies this year and the kids even got a teepee. We hope Santa found all of you and we wish you a Happy New Year!

Chaysee 8 months

Chaysee is 8 months this week. It is amazing how time flies. She is so big, I can't believe it. She looks like she could be one, but no not yet. She still isn't crawling. She is just tall enough that if she turns horizontal in her crib, she gets stuck. She says "daddadadada.." she drools all day long and constantly has to wear a bib. She thinks she needs to eat what everyone else is eating and no baby food. She finally has enough hair on top to wear a little hair clip. She loves to be talked to and carried everywhere (probably why she doesn't crawl).

Funny things the kids have said lately
Mya is shaking presents
I say: What if its clothes?
Mya: that was not on my list

Today there was no school (roads were too icey)
Zek: mom I get to miss school on a WEDNESDAY! SWEET!

Holiday Cookie Decorating!

It's that time of year. SUGAR COOKIES! My kids love making sugar cookies, but their favoite part is the decorating. They don't really like to eat them, but they love pouring those piles and piles of sprinkles all over. Yesterday my mom made the cookies and let the kids cut them and then I frosted them, while they went sprinkle crazy. Do your kids love sprinkles? The funny part is we have all these decorated cookies and nobody will eat one with sprinkles. :)
It has been really cold today. Last night it was so windy. I decided I would much rather have snow or rain, no wind.

I am done with finals! I am so excited to have this quarter over with, I turned in my finals and said a little prayer. Next quarter I have math, criminal justice (only because it was the only thing left online) and philosophy (same reason as criminal justice).
The kids just keep growing and growing. I had to take measurements for Christmas pjs yesterday and Chaysee is almost as big around as Mya LOL! Oh well. Also the stocking is Chaysees-Aunt Deb has made all our stockings since my mom and dad got married, so I bought the material and asked her to sew one for Chaysee, isn't it so cute? I know not really Christmas colors, but fun and girly.

So Serious!

I have a picture of each of the kids like this at about 6 mos. We had to wait a little longer for Chaysee to be able to sit better, so she is 7 mos.
Happy Thanksgiving to all! The kids have been wired all day. They couldn't wait to eat turkey and then they couldn't wait to make gingerbread houses. We bought a mini village this year, which the kids really liked. I don't advise the mini village, last year we made one big house and it was a lot easier. They turned out pretty cute, considering the conversation that was going on while I was putting the houses together and then the arguing over the candy. It was a great memory that I won't ever forget. We had tons of food and a lot to be thankful for. Mya really wanted to see little Damion, Scott told her maybe next year and then Zek said No I don't want to move again! We just laughed. He thought if we went there for a visit we had to move. :) Hope everyone had a great Turkey day!
