Chaysee is One!

Our Home

wagon/new clothes

I can't believe she is one. How time flies (although at the time it really doesn't go by al that fast). Wednesday was her birthday and we had cupcakes (which she did not like at all), gave her a wagon (if I would have known how entertaining this would be I would have bought one when Zek was little) and some clothes. I think it is so hard to believe she is one because she doesn't walk or even try to walk. I am sure she'll figure it out eventually. Happy 1st Birthday Chaysee! We love you!

More Easter Fun!

The kids absolutely loved Easter. Today they woke up to baskets of candy, and outfit and a movie for the family. The Easter bunny definately knew what the kids needed and wanted. Although they did not understand why they didn't get a prepackaged basket from the local Wal-mart, they were still happy. Zek had a sleep over with grandma and forgot to take his basket with him so the his basket was filled at the house and brought to him later. Kids are so funny that way (the reason why the bunny did not know his location). Mya put on her outfit and told me that "yellow was definately her color." We had lunch at great grandmas with the best egg hunt of all. Since we were expecting more kids to be at the hunt, everyone filled a lot of eggs and then there were 3 kids who made a haul on the candy. Zek, Mya and Kesiah had a blast searching for eggs with their buckets overflowing.

Highlights from the weekend:
Chaysee eating candy with the paper on
Chaysee grabbing every piece of candy she could get to, it didn't matter whose basket it was in.
Watching the "Last Song" take tissues, what a great movie!
Ok I saved the best for last
Zek swallowing yes swallowing Scotts wedding ring.
Friday morning I was getting Mya ready for the day and Scott was getting ready. As I am fixing Myas hair I hear Zek coughing in his room. I proceed to ask him what the problem is and I get no response. I figure he is ok. Then a few minutes later I hear Scott ask him where his ring is. Scott then comes running out and says that Zek swallowed his ring. Zek and I immediately drive to the ER, the whole time he is gagging on this ring and trying to get it out. When we get there a paramedic who was standing around immediately takes Zek to the back and tries to get the ring out of his throat, he is unsuccessful. By the time we get checked in and Zek gets an x-ray, the ring is in his stomach and we are sent home. (I think of Aaron and Kristen and how I just read of Paige swollowing batteries, how could I let this happen). Before we left the Doctor told us that what goes in will come out and that we should watch for it. Well I had a girl weekend planned in Spokane with my mom and sisters, so I left it up to Zek and Scott. So far no ring. All you can do is laugh because seriously we are just thankful he is ok.

Easter!

My mom got this bunny for the kids, it sings and hops and Chaysee thinks it is so funny!

On friday, while at wal-mart I heard a message over the loud speaker announcing the arrival of the Easter Bunny for the following Saturday. The kids were so excited. Mya was a little aprehensive but she did ok. Chaysee was not having any part of it, she has become a mamas girl lately, I guess it's the age. The kids got to dye eggs tonight and they had a lot of fun. There was so much excitement, it was almost like Christmas. It is spring break for Zek and he has had a great start. Today was lunch with grandma and Tonya at Inca and then he helped fill the easter eggs for the hunt on Sunday at great grandmas and last was the egg dying. What are we going to do on tuesday and wednesday ect.??? Well the new quarter started for me. I have Eng 102, History of Western Civilization and Math 99 (at the college T and Th nights, not very excited). Happy Easter to all.

Kids are funny:

While dying eggs

Mya: Zek I am gonna win you I am almost done

Zek: Mya its not about winning and losing

Mya: I am still gonna win

Zek: Mya I just said its not about winning

Mya: I beat you I'm done!

Zek: Mom Mya won't stop talking

Chaysees pictures at the park

When Chaysee woke up from her morning nap she was very happy and I thought oh good she is in a good mood and were going to take pictures with Alyson. Well I know Alyson got some better pictures but I thought I would share what I took while she was snapping away, and mind you that Chaysee was not near as happy as when she woke up from her nap. Oh well I guess that is the way it goes. We did get a lot of work done today or I should say Scott got a lot done. He fixed a part of the fence that the kids broke (bad thing about renting), then went with us to take pictures, weed wacked the yard, mowed the yard, organized the garage, sprayed the yard with weed n feed and got the sprinklers up and running, he even got to watch BYU loose (sad day!) we were busy. I tried to clean the inside but it seems with the kids in and out all day long it never stays that way. And it is now officially my spring break! Whoo Hoo

Happy St. Patricks Day!

The kids had a great day today! I had a math final and Scott was sick, but the kids thought a day with everything green was a lot fun. Zek said eveything at school was green, but that some people wore red and that meant they got a kiss. When I asked him if he kissed anyone he said, "no way!" Mya got to go to lunch with great grandma, grandma and I. She thought it was great to be with the girls, she even got to pick where we went and of course it was Pizza. Then she put a quarter in a plastic ring machine and it came out green, how lucky was she today! After my final we made green cookies for a snack, the kids thought it was so funny to have green cookies. (side note to Scotts mom, they wanted rainbow cookies, we need the reciepe). So happy St. Patricks day to everyone, we hope you remebered to wear green.

Fun at the Park/11 months

Chaysee is almost 11 months. She learned to crawl last week and is really getting the hang of it. She loves getting into her brother and sisters things, which they don't love so much. I can't figure out why :) She has even learned how to sit up on her knees to reach things and thinks she is pretty cool. She no longer wants to eat baby food, but doesn't enjoy very much people food. Her favorite thing to eat are those Gerber cheetos, she even gets excited when she sees the container. It is taking her a while to adjust to a new house, but she loves the space. Today Grandpa, Grandma, Tonya and Haunani came and visited the kids and we even got to go to the park, it was a beautiful day. You can't beat 50 degrees in March in Washington with no wind or rain. Zek is starting to feel comfortable at his new school and enjoys the fact that PE is 3 times a week. Mya keeps asking her dad to find a ballet teacher and a school teacher, maybe she will be the social butterfly. Since we've moved in she has slept through the night in her OWN bed. Yay!
New things the kids experienced this past month: Eating at the Taco Wagon with Christian and Tracy (Mya loved it, Zek not so much) Thanks guys!
The indoor toys a Mcdonalds ( I know your thinking I am a mean mom, but I have a hard time taking my kids to Mcdonalds since they won't eat the food and there are so many germs on the stinky smelling toys).
Chaysee tried her first ice cream cone.
Zek and Mya thought it would be fun to eat with porkchops (chopsticks) so they tried it and didn't think it was so great. Where do they get these ideas?

Oreo Story

So tonight for a snack before bed Zek and Mya decided to have oreos and milk. I went to get the comb for Myas hair and when I came back there was oreo all over the counter where she had been sitting. As I walked over into the family room I saw little pieces of oreo infact there was a trail leading all the way to Myas room. I didn't get a picture, but I am sure you can imagine the mess oreos make after they are soaked in milk. When I told her to come and help me clean up the mess I noticed oreos all over her face. I told her to come into the kitchen so we could wipe her face off and thats when I saw it, OREOS smashed everywhere all over her belly and mooshed on the inside of her pjs, on her eyes in her hair clear down to her ankles. When I asked what happened she said I don't know but there is some stuck to the bottom of my foot. Who would have thought that OREOS require parent supervision. LOL!
