Summer Fun

Myas dress from Aunt Mary!

We tried the sponge rollers again. Its so fun to have a girl with lots of hair.

So lately we've had really hot weather. Were talking 4 days over 100 degrees. The air conditioner can't even keep up. The kids have been enjoying the pool and lots of ice cream. Chaysee doesn't do very well with the heat (she throws up even more). Mya loves it because she can basically live in her swimsuit everyday. Zek doesn't like the air to be on so early in the morning, but then he doesn't like being hot in the afternoon (just can't be pleased).
Things the kids love about summer:
Mya: all the fruit (especially watermelon)
the water (just keep swimming, just keep swimming)
ICE CREAM (everyday at least a spoonful)
Zek: Tomatoes (Zek eats every single one out of the garden, before we can even get them in the house)
Swimming, running in the sprinkler, playing on the slip n slide (anything to do with water)
No School (although I am ready for him to start school)
Being home with dad on his days off
Chaysee: Has a hard time in the summer but she loves her baths and loves to have people talk to her
We are having a good summer. I have made a little extra money selling flower clips and hopefully I will get to make some more.

2 funny Mya stories

So last night Mya had ice cream. And she doesn't really like it, she just wants a bite every now and then. She got her dad to give her a big bowl and took her few bites then left it on the table. About 20 minutes later she went to eat the ice cream. Everything sounds great right? Wrong. Later on my mom tells me what really happened.
Grandma enters kitchen and sees Mya on the floor with a rag and windex.
Grandma: Mya what are you doing?
Mya: I keening up my big mess gama
Grandma: What mess
Mya: My big ice ceam mess
All grandma could do was laugh. There was ice cream all over the floor, the wall and the chair she was suppose to be sitting in. And the reason for the windex, she thought it was carpet cleaner.
So today I am going into my room and down the hall comes Mya. She is looking very sneaky and just grining from ear to ear.
Mom: Mya what were you doing in my room
Mya: nothing
Mom: Mya?
Mya: putting on lipstick
Mom: What lipstick?
Mya: I will show you
Apparently she can now scale the bathroom cupboard, get up on the counter, open the tube of lipstick and put it everywhere except her lips.
So last night after washing Myas hair I put it in spongy curlers (who knew they still work) for church and she wanted her picture taken in her princess dress and her princess hair.

Summer, Summer!

This last week was our Iverson family reunion, and it was fun. We had dinner at Ron and Jewells and ice cream and great grandma and great grandpas. Then we got to take a hay ride on the back of grandpas truck. Mya and Zek rode in the cab with grandpa, grandma and great aunt ruth-who did not think riding on the back of a truck was a good idea.
Zek and Mya have been very busy the last little while just bothering one another. They seem to do pretty well in the morning and by lunch they are done. We are excited for school to start and be on a schedule again. We also had Royal community days this last weekend and the kids really liked the parade.
Chaysee is smiling a lot and really starting to look all over. She is getting so big I can't believe it.
I have decided to go to school this fall and things seem like they are falling into place.
I had to post thses pictures of Chaysee on the blog. This pink dress came from Aunt Mary and it is sooooo cute. Mya got a dress too, but did not want her picture taken, so we will try this week. Until later

Happy 4th!

I have been selling flowers the last couple of weekends with my cousin who makes these tutus so I traded flowers for tutus and Mya thinks its great!

Happy 4th of July! The kids had a great time. The Kendalls were able to come and visit and Zek and Mya really enjoyed playing with Andrew and Laura. Although we didn't have fireworks (we have a wheat field out our back door) I think everyone had a good time.
Chaysee went to the doctor and they gave me some medicine for her throwing up but the side effects are really bad so after Scott and I talked we decided not to give her the medicine. We think we can handle the crying instead of causing more problems. So were in it for the long haul, hopefully she will outgrow the problem. She is now 12lbs and 26 in long. Its like we skipped the 0-3mos clothes. We went from newborn to 3-6 mos. in a matter of weeks.
Mya is doing well. Funny story the other day she was sitting by me and just really looking at my face, finally out it came "Mom, we have the same eyes (as in color)" It was the cutest thing, just like a little light bulb turned on inside her. She is growning like a weed. Last week she was wearing 24 mos and now its definately a 3T.
Zek is loving the summertime. He passed level 1 swim lessons with ease. He wants to go to level 2 but he'll have to wait until next summer. He thinks he needs to be entertained all day long, which is a daily trial. I thought 6 would be better and its just the same as 3, 4, and 5-when do they grow up? Some say never but I keep hoping LOL! :)
We are grateful for the Independance day and the freedoms we enjoy! We wish everyone a Happy 4th and can't wait to hear from you.
